Audio Training

Developing your knowledge is a process and we believe that taking an ordered approach to training ensures you don't miss out before progressing.

We have developed 3 courses to suit the level you need. All the courses have both classroom and practical elements. We try to deliver the academic side of the course content in a comfortable classroom environment including model demonstrations where possible and encourage discussion you will also setup the equipment and see how the concepts apply in the real world.

Most of us will remember school days in a warm room and feeling drowsy, this isn’t the best way to learn so we try to split the day up. We also try not overload your brain with info which is why the course is longer than some but we think more information is retained if you have time to process, apply and digest it.

All Training is carried out on Yamaha Mixers and a D&B Speaker System. We use multitrack playback of a live band to allow you to practice mixing.

Where is the course located?

We don't yet have a permanent base so we try to space courses out to be as near as possible to those who want to complete them around the UK.

There are no courses available near me?

We do try to offer courses around the country but we can't take them everywhere. So we plan our courses so that we are near affordable hotels, if you are further than an hour away we recommend staying locally during your training as you will arrive each day more refreshed without a long drive. With fuel expensive as it is, it is comparable to stay in a hotel and save the CO2.

How many other people will be on the course?

This depends on the course. For level 1 we allow up to 12 people, level 2 we allow up to 8 people & for level 3 we allow 6 people.

Will I have to share equipment?

We will have one set of speakers for each session which everyone will be involved with setting up. We will have a variety of mixing desks, 2 people will work at each mixer.

Is lunch provided?

Yes we provide lunch please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. Tea, coffee and water is available all day.

What if I am late?

Don't worry we all know life happens. If you are late just arrive as soon as you can. We will try to help you catch up anything you have missed.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

You will be setting up equipment so wear suitable clothes and bring some suitable work gloves. Ideally you should also wear steel toe capped shoes. If you want to make notes feel free to bring a pad or laptop.
